Koji Yamamoto examines ordinary life through cartoons and characters. He is interested in giving attention to overlooked and unappreciated moments. He is interested in animation, since anything can happen, but it is also possible to show the familiar in a new light. His approach to making work is playful – combining low and high production techniques as expressive tools that work with and against each other.

Production values are very clearly defined in video and animation. Animation in particular closely follows technology and for that reason in entertainment it is judged according to its level of execution based on the current state of technology.
